Daar is in totaal 13 299 bale aangebied, waarvan 97.6% verkoop is.

Die koper was Standard Wool SA. Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

Congratulations on this achievement!

FORECAST

This week the SA wool market increased slightly and this movement can be contributed to the weakening of the Rand, as well as the sideways movement of the Australian market. With this in mind, the projection for next week is a further sideways movement. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 6.2% lower compared to the same time of the previous season. Sustainable certified (RWS) good quality Merino wool, again enjoyed good attention on the auction and saw healthy competition amongst buyers. Certification is becoming more important and producers must take note of this trend. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process. The next wool auction is scheduled for 10 March 2021, where roughly 10 223 bales will be on offer.

OVK offer advances on fibre delivered in PE, as well as production loans. Please contact OVK Fibre’s office in Port Elizabeth or your Technical Field Officer for more information. Please enquire about OVK’s exciting new commission structure on fibre marketed by OVK. Producers must also bear in mind that OVK’s loyalty scheme awards farmers 23.9 cents per kilogram on fibre marketed by OVK.
