Kern doel van die pos:

Die effektiewe instandhouding en herstel van masjienerie, geboue en toerusting by OVK Vesel Stoor. 

Minimum Vereistes:

• Graad 12 / N4 of hoër tegniese kwalifikasie;
• Rekenaar geletterdheid;
• Kandidate met vorige instandhouding, meganiese en / of hidroliese ondervinding sal voorkeur hê;
• Vorige ondervinding met die bestuur van voorraad, kwotasies voordelig;
• Goeie kommunikasie- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels (Xhosa sal tot voordeel wees);
• Geldige bestuurslisensie en eie betroubare vervoer.

Vaardighede:

• Liggaamlike vermoë om die werk te kan doen;
• Bereidwilligheid om lang ure te werk;
• Om op hoogtes te kan werk (Nie-Akrofobie);
• Goeie interpersoonlike vaardighede;
• Werk onder druk;
• Moet in spanverband asook onafhanklik kan funksioneer.
• Goeie konfklik bestuur en leierskapvermoë

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Verseker uitvoering van instandhoudingsfunksie van masjienerie, geboue en toerusting.
• Nagaan en herstel van toerusting.
• Werk binne voorgeskrewe wetgewing, beleide en prosedures.
• Gee terugvoer aan die Instandhoudingsbeampte oor take, en bespreek beskikbaarheid van onderdele en toerusting.
• Pas foutopsporingstegnieke toe en gereelde toerustinginspeksies.
• Verseker nakoming van gesondheid en veiligheid, omgewing, kwaliteit en huishouding in afdelings.
• Byhou van administrasie en bate beheer

Main purpose of the position:

 The effective maintenance and repair of machinery, buildings and equipment at OVK fibre storage.

Minimum Requirements:        

• Grade 12 / N4 or higher technical qualification;
• Computer literacy;
• Candidates with previous maintenance, mechanical and / or hydraulic experience will have preference;
• Previous experience managing inventory, quotes advantages;
• Good communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English (Xhosa would be an advantage);
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures execution of maintenance function of machinery, buildings and equipment.
• Checking and repairing equipment.
• Work within prescribed legislation, policies and procedures.
• Give feedback to the Maintenance Officer on tasks, and discuss availability of parts and equipment.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques and regular equipment inspections.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in departments.
