Kern doel van die pos:

Elektroniese instandhouding en monitering van die Organiese struktuur van OVK.

Minimum vereistes:

• Graad 12, met Na-skoolse se kwalifikasie met Tegniese en Elektroniese vakke;
  
• Geldige rybewys:
• Ervaring in soldeerwerk en gebruik van kraggereedskap;
• Ervaring in werk met kabels en koppelstukke;
• Ervaring van elektroniese komponente;
• Ervaring in TCP/IP-protokol en die toepassing daarvan;
• PSIRA geregistreer.

Vaardighede:

• Die vermoë om meetinstrumente en kalibrasietoerusting te hanteer;
  
• Kennis van alarmstelsels, toegangsbeheer en CCTV;
• Opleiding in basiese veiligheidstandaarde en werk op hoogtes;
• Goeie interpersoonlike vaardighede;
• Uitstekende foutsporingsvermoë en analitiese denke om die kernoorsaak van foute op te spoor;
• Rekenaarvaardigheid in MS Office (Word en Excel), asook e-pos en internet;
• Goeie kommunikasie- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;
• Die vermoë om steiers en lere te gebruik en in dakruimtes en ander beperkte ruimtes te werk;
• Uitstekende beplanningsvermoë – nuwe installasies / projekte en instandhouding.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Herstel en installering van stelsels by OVK Hoofkantoor en ander OVK bedryfspunte asook geassosieerde administratiewe werk;
• Voorkomende instandhouding en aanbevelings aan bestuur om herhalende instandhouding te voorkom;
• Bestuur en beheer van Monitering funksies en aktiwiteite;
• Skakeling met kliënte asook interne OVK afdelings;
• Kwaliteitsversekering en kwaliteitsbeheer;
• Ad hoc-dienste;
• Na-ure bystandsdiens (ononderhandelbaar).

Main purpose of the position:

Electronic maintenance and monitoring of the Organic structure of OVK.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12, with Post-school's qualification with Technical and Electronic subjects;
  
• Experience in soldering and use of power tools;
• Experience in working with cables and connectors;
• Experience of electronic components;
• Experience in TCP/IP protocol and its application;
• PSIRA registered.

Skills:

• The ability to handle measuring instruments and calibration equipment;
  
• Knowledge of alarm systems, access control and CCTV;
• Training in basic safety standards and working at heights;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Excellent troubleshooting ability and analytical thinking to find the root cause of errors;
• Computer skills in MS Office (Word and Excel), as well as e-mail and internet;
• Good communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
• The ability to use scaffolding and ladders and work in roof spaces and other confined spaces;
• Excellent planning ability – new installations / projects and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and installation of systems at OVK Head Office and other OVK operating points as well as associated administrative work;
• Preventive maintenance and recommendations to management to prevent repetitive maintenance;
• Management and control of Monitoring functions and activities;
• Liaising with customers as well as internal OVK departments;
• Quality assurance and quality control;
• Ad hoc services;
• After hours assistance service (non-negotiable).
