Kern doel van die pos:

Volledige ondersoeke te bewerkstellig en te voltooi vir die OVK groep asook betrokkenheid in die Ladybrand gemeenskap.

Minimum Vereistes:

• Graad 12;
• Formele opleiding in kriminele ondersoeke binne SAPD/Wetstoepassing;
• Minimum 4-6 jaar ondervinding as ondersoeker en in SAPD/wetstoepassing (speurder/gespesialiseerde eenhede);
• Tegniese- en instandhoudingsvaardighede;
• Geldige bestuurslisensie.

Vaardighede:

• Goeie kommunikasie- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;
• Rekenaarvaardig (MS Office);
• Goeie kennis en begrip van die Starfproses wet;
• Grondige kennis en ervaring in die hantering van bewyse vir vervolging;
• Onafhanklike beplanning, organisering, voer en bestuur van kriminele ondersoeke binne OVK;
• In staat wees om getuies te voer en inligting te onttrek;
• Goeie werksetiket en hoë vlak van professionaliteit;
• Bou en handhaaf sterk werksverhoudinge deur konsultasies en eksterne wetstoepassingagentskaape;
• Liggaamlike vermoё om die werk te kan doen;
• Vermoë om te reis en lang werksure te handhaaf;
• Goeie interpersoonlike vaardighede.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Uitvoer van ondersoeke;
• Risiko identifikasie en -bewustheid;
• Suksesvolle voltooiing en rapportering van ondersoeke;
• Betrokkenheid en dryf van gemeenskapsprojekte in Ladybrand.

Main purpose of the position:

Successfully complete investigations for the OVK group as well as involvement in the Ladybrand community.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12;
• Formal training in criminal investigations within SAPS/Law Enforcement;
• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience as investigator in SAPS/Law Enforcement (Detective/Specialised Units);
• Technical and maintenance skills;
• Valid driver’s license.

Skills:

• Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Computer literate (MS Office);
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Procedure Act;
• Sound knowledge and exprience in handling of evidence for prosecution;
• Independently plans, organise, conducts, and manages criminal investigations within OVK;
• Interview witnesses and extract valuable information to the ongoing investigations;
• Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism;
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with, and consultation with external Law Enforcement agencies;
• Ability to travel and work long hours;
• Physical ability to be able to do the work;
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
