Die koper was Standard Wool SA. Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

FORECAST

This week's increase can be attributed to the stronger Australian market and the increased demand from China for better Merino wool, resulting in a highly competitive market. The expectations for the short to medium term, is that demand from China might increase because of the stimulation of their economy after the Covid-19 pandemic. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 5.1% lower, compared to the same time of the previous season.

Sustainable certified (RWS), good quality Merino wool, was in high demand on the auction and enjoyed healthy competition amongst the buyers. Producers have to take note of this and also accept that this is a future trend which has come to stay. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process. The next wool auction is scheduled for 21 October where 6268 bales will be on offer.
