Daar is 'n positiewe wending in die wolmark / There is a positive turn in the wool market.

MARKANALISE

Daar is in totaal 6881 bale aangebied, waarvan 93.3% verkoop is.

Die koper was Standard Wool SA. Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

FORECAST

This week's increase, is the combined effect of both the Australian market, showing an improvement and the weakening of the Rand against major currencies. This is for sure a positive turn in the market. Although, because of the large stockpile in both the South-African and Australian store, the market will take some time to fully recover. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 17.1% lower, compared to the same time of the previous season.

Sustainable certified, good quality Merino wool, was in high demand today and enjoyed healthy competition amongst the buyers. Producers have to take note of this. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process.

OVK offer advances on fibre delivered in PE, as well as production loans. Please contact OVK Fibre’s office in Port Elizabeth or your Technical Field Officer for more information. Please enquire about OVK’s exciting new commission structure on fibre marketed by OVK. Producers must also bear in mind that OVK’s loyalty scheme awards farmers 23.9 cents per kilogram on fibre marketed by OVK.
