SYBOKHAARMARKVERSLAG/MOHAIR MARKET REPORT S03 - 2024

MARKANALISE

Die derde veiling van die somerseisoen het op 19 Maart 2024 in Port Elizabeth plaasgevind, met 159 131kg op aanbod waarvan 98% verkoop is. Die aanbod het uit goeie kwaliteit sybokhaar bestaan waarvan 83% RMS gesertifiseer was. Kopershuise het aktief meegeding vir die goeie kwaliteit sybokhaar op aanbod in alle segmente van die mark. Die positiewe aanvraag het gelei tot 'n 2% styging in die markprys in vergelyking met die vorige veiling, wat gesluit het op R403.04/kg. Die OVK markaanwyser het afgesluit op R410.09/kg  wat hoër is as die nasionale markaanwyser.

Die hoogste Bin prys op OVK en openbare veiling:

OVK het weereens uitstekend verkoop met twee CFFK bins wat verkoop het vir R775.10/kg en R777/kg onderskeidelik. ‘n Bin CSFFK het verkoop vir R790/kg en die hoogste bin prys asook veiling prys is betaal vir ‘n baal BSFFK van 23.9 mikron wat verkoop het vir R820/kg! Die produsente in hierdie lot was: The PC Marais Sons Family Trust, Vredelust Barry (PTY) LTD, F. Louw, JG. Visser en Alibco (PTY) LTD. Die koper was Stucken & Co.

Die hoogste Produsente baal op die OVK veiling:

OVK produsente lotte het goed presteer. SP Steynberg Boerdery van Aberdeen vir R810/kg, Zeekoegat Trust van Aberdeen vir R811.10/kg, The PC Marais Sons Family Trust van Jansenville vir R815/kg en Metford Marx Familie Trust van Aberdeen vir R815/kg.

MARKVOORUITSIGTE

OVK bied voorskotte op vesel wat by ons gelewer word, asook produksielenings.  Skakel gerus die OVK Veselkantoor in Port Elizabeth of u Tegniese Veldbeampte vir meer inligting. Vind ook meer uit oor die opwindende nuwe kommissiestruktuur op vesel bemark deur OVK. Produsente word ook herinner aan die lojaliteitskema van OVK, waar boere beloon word met 32 sent vir elke kilogram vesel wat deur OVK bemark word.

MARKET ANALYSIS

The third auction of the summer season took place on 19 March 2024 in Port Elizabeth, with 159 131kg on offer of which 98% was sold. The offering consisted of good quality mohair, of which 83% was RMS certified. Buyers houses actively competed for the good quality mohair on offer in all segments of the market. The positive demand led to a 2% increase in the market price compared to the previous auction, which closed at R403.04/kg. The OVK market indicator closed at R410.09/kg, which is higher than the national market indicator.

The highest Bin price at OVK and public auction:

OVK once again achieved excellent results with two CFFK bins selling for R775.10/kg and R777/kg respectively. A CSFFK bin sold for R790/kg, and the highest bin price as well as the highest auction price was paid for a bale of BSFFK at 23.9 microns, which sold for R820/kg! The producers in this lot were: The PC Marais Sons Family Trust, Vredelust Barry (PTY) LTD, F. Louw, JG. Visser, and Alibco (PTY) LTD. The buyer was Stucken & Co.

MARKET OUTLOOK
