MARKANALISE

Die koper was Standard Wool SA . Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

The Australian EMI decreased by 2.7% though, compared to the previous sale. The Rand traded 0.7% weaker against the US Dollar and lost 0.9% to the Euro, compared to the previous auction. The largest increase this week, of 1.7%, was in the 20.5 micron segment. Standard Wool SA was the major buyer on this auction, followed by G. Modiano SA, Lempriere SA and Stucken & Co. FORECAST

Despite the weakening of the Australian wool market, the South African wool market still managed to improve on this auction. A contributing factor for the improvement was the slight weakening of the Rand against the most influential currencies. The expectation for the short term is that the market should move sideways, provided that the Rand keep trading at its current levels. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 4.4% higher, compared to the same time of the previous season. Sustainable certified (RWS), good quality Merino wool, again enjoyed good attention on the auction and saw healthy competition amongst buyers. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process. The next auction is scheduled for the 1st of September 2021.

OVK offer advances on fibre delivered in PE, as well as production loans. Please contact OVK Fibre’s office in Port Elizabeth or your Technical Field Officer for more information.
