MARKANALISE

Die sesde veiling van die 2024 somerseisoen het op 14 Mei 2024 in Port Elizabeth plaasgevind met 109 850 kg op aanbod, waarvan 96% verkoop is.

Die aanbod het bestaan uit uitstekende individuele skeersels wat goeie mededinging tussen die kopershuise veroorsaak het, veral vir die fyner segmente van die mark. 92% van die aanbod het uit RMS-gesertifiseerde sybokhaar bestaan.

Alhoewel die Suid-Afrikaanse geldeenheid sterker teenoor die Dollar verhandel het, het die vraag na beter kwaliteit sybokhaar daartoe gelei dat die gemiddelde markaanwyser met 3% toegeneem het om te sluit op R392.62/kg. Kleinbokkiehaar styg met 5%. Jongbokhaar en Fyn grootbokhaar styg met 2%. Sterk grootbokhaar styg met 1% teenoor die vorige veiling.

Hoogste bin prys op OVK veiling was ‘n baal BSFFK wat verkoop het vir R760/kg. Die produsente in die lot was: PC.Marais, Noorsveld Hoenders (PTY) LTD, FEC Farming (PTY) LTD en PJ.Lategan.

Nuwe Somer seisoen rekord prys!

Die uitmuntende skeersel van FEC Farming (PTY) LTD van Willowmore het gesorg vir die hoogtepunt op die 2024 somerseisoen met ‘n baal BSFFK van 23.3 mikron wat verkoop het vir R1022/kg. Dit was ook ‘n nuwe somerseisoen rekord. Die koper was VBC.

MARKVOORUITSIGTE

OVK bied voorskotte op vesel wat by ons gelewer word, asook produksielenings.  Skakel gerus die OVK Veselkantoor in Port Elizabeth of u Tegniese Veldbeampte vir meer inligting. Vind ook meer uit oor die opwindende nuwe kommissiestruktuur op vesel bemark deur OVK. Produsente word ook herinner aan die lojaliteitskema van OVK, waar boere beloon word met 35 sent vir elke kilogram vesel wat deur OVK bemark word.

MARKET ANALYSIS

The sixth auction of the 2024 summer season took place on 14 May 2024 in Port Elizabeth with 109 850 kg on offer, of which 96% were sold.

The offer consisted of excellent individual clips which caused good competition, especially for the finer segments of the market. 92% of the offering consisted of RMS certified mohair.

Although the South African currency traded stronger against the Dollar, demand for better quality mohair saw the average market indicator increase by 3% to close at R392.62/kg. 

Kid mohair increases by 5%. Young Goat and Fine Adult Mohair increase by 2%. Strong Adult Mohair are up 1% from the previous auction.

New Summer season record price!

The outstanding clip of FEC Farming (PTY) LTD from Willowmore was the highlight at the 2024 summer auction with a bale BSFFK of 23.3 microns which sold for R1022/kg. It was also a new summer season record. The buyer was VBC.
