Die tweede veiling van die 2022 winterseisoen het vandag in Port Elizabeth plaasgevind, met 155415kg op aanbod waar van 80% verkoop is. Die aanbod het uit goeie kwaliteit bokhaar bestaan, waarvan 83% RMS gesertifiseer was. Die algehele markaanwyser het met 1% verminder in vergelyking met die vorige veiling, om te sluit op R371.23/kg. As gevolg van groot volume bokhaar op die afgelope 2 dae se veiling was kopershuise se kontantvloei onder druk en dit het veroorsaak dat nie al die kopers aktief deelgeneem het nie. Kleinbokkies daal met 3%, jong bokke met 2%, fyn- en sterk grootbokhaar was onveranderd. OVK se veilings gemiddeld was R377.97 wat hoër is as die algehele markaanwyser. OVK bins het weereens goed presteer met die hoogste bin prys op die veiling van R689.00/kg die produsente in daardie lot was: Speelmanskop Farming CC, F Louw, LPG Reynolds, Doringdam (PTY) LTD en Driefontein Agricultural CO-OP LTD. Hoogste prys is behaal deur DH Schoeman van De Rust vir ‘n baal BSFFK met super styl van 25.1mikron wat verkoop is vir R800.00/kg die kopershuis was VBC. The second auction of the 2022 winter season took place today in Port Elizabeth, with 155415kg on offer where 80% were sold. The supply consisted of good quality mohair, of which 83% was RMS certified. The overall market indicator decreased by 1% compared to the previous auction, to close at R371.23/kg. Due to the large volume of mohair at the last 2 days' auction, buyers houses' cash flow was under pressure and this caused that not all buyers actively participated. Kid Mohair decrease by 3%, young goats by 2%, fine- and strong Adult Mohair was unchanged. OVK's auctions averaged R377.97/kg which is higher than the overall market indicator. OVK bins once again performed well with the highest bin price at the auction of R689.00/kg the producers in that lot were: Speelmanskop Farming CC, F Louw, LPG Reynolds, Doringdam (PTY) LTD and Driefontein Agricultural CO-OP LTD. Highest price was achieved by DH Schoeman from De Rust for a bale of BSFFK with a super style of 25.1 micron which was sold for R800.00/kg the buyer was VBC.
