Die Cape Wools Merino aanwyser styg met 3.3% / The Cape Wools Merino indicator increased by 3.3%

MARKANALISE

Die 5de wolveiling van die 2020/21 wolseisoen het hierdie week op die 16de September plaasgevind. Die Cape Wools Merino aanwyser het met 3.3% gestyg teenoor die vorige veiling en teen 'n skoonprys van R123.86/kg gesluit. Die Australiese EMI het met 5.3% versterk. Die Rand het 2.9% sterker verhandel teen die VSA Dollar en het 2.0% versterk teenoor die Euro, teenoor die ooreenstemmende tyd van die vorige veiling. Die grootste styging van 4.8% was in die 19.5 mikron segment. Lempriere SA het op hierdie veiling die grootste hoeveelheid bale gekoop, gevolg deur Standard Wool SA, Tianyu SA en G.Modiano SA. Daar is in totaal 6508 bale aangebied, waarvan 97.8% verkoop is.

Op die OVK veiling is 1089 bale aangebied waarvan 95.5% verkoop is. Die hoogste prys op die OVK veiling, van R140.00/kg, is behaal vir ‘n 1 baal lot BH van 16.8 mikron, uit die skeersel van Doringkuil Boerdery Trust vanuit Steynsburg. Die koper was Standard Wool SA. Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

Die week se styging kan toegeskryf word aan die positiewe beweging in die Australiese mark en 'n groter aanvraag vanaf China.Wol ontvang in die makelaars se store hierdie week, is 16.3% laer as die ooreenstemmende tyd van die vorige seisoen.

Volhoubaar gesertifiseerde, goeie kwaliteit Merinowol, het weereens goeie aandag geniet op die veiling en gesorg vir gesonde kompetisie tussen kopers. Produsente kan gerus kennis neem hiervan. Skakel gerus met OVK om u by te staan in die sertifiseringsproses. 

Die volgende veiling vind op 30 September 2020 plaas, waar katalogus 6 en 7 saam opgeveil gaan word.

OVK bied voorskotte op vesel wat by ons gelewer word, asook produksielenings. Skakel gerus die OVK Veselkantoor in Port Elizabeth of u Tegniese Veldbeampte vir meer inligting. Vind ook meer uit oor die opwindende nuwe kommissiestruktuur op vesel bemark deur OVK. Produsente word ook herinner aan die lojaliteitskema van OVK, waar boere beloon word met 23.9 sent vir elke kilogram vesel wat deur OVK bemark word.

 

MARKET ANALYSES

The 5th wool auction of the 2020/21 season took place this week on the 16th of September. The Cape Wools Merino indicator traded 3.3% higher, compared to the previous sale and closed at a clean price of R123.86/kg. The Australian EMI increased by 5.3%. The Rand traded 2.9% stronger against the US Dollar and 2.0% stronger to the Euro, compared to the rate of the previous sale. The largest increase this week, of 4.8%, was in the 19.5 micron segment. Lempriere SA was the major buyer on the auction this week, followed by Standard Wool SA, Tianyu SA and G.Modiano SA. A total of 6508 bales were on offer, of which 97.8% was sold.

On the OVK auction 1089 bales were offered, of which 95.5% was sold. The highest price on the OVK auction, of R140.00/kg, was achieved for a 1 bale lot BH of 16.8 microns, from the clip of Doringkuil Boerdery Trust, from Steynsburg. The buyer was Standard Wool SA. Congratulations on this achievement! 

FORECAST

This week's increase can be attributed to the positive movement in the Australian market and the increase in demand from China. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 16.3% lower, compared to the same time of the previous season. 

Sustainable certified, good quality Merino wool, was in high demand today and enjoyed healthy competition amongst the buyers. Producers have to take note of this. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process. 

The next auction will take place on 30 September 2020, when catalogue 6 en 7 will be combined.
