FORECAST

This week saw the SA wool market trade somewhat higher, compared to the previous week, but because of a stronger Rand, performed slightly weaker than the Australian market. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores decreased by 56% compared to the same time of the previous season. This is for week one of the 2020/2021 wool season. This week’s auction showed that certified sustainable wool still enjoys good attention amongst buyers and attracted healthy competition. Producers have to take note of this.
