MARKANALISE.

Daar is in totaal 12 874 bale aangebied, waarvan 91.0% verkoop is.

Die koper was Standard Wool SA. Baie geluk met hierdie prestasie!

VOORUITSIGTE

FORECAST

The Rand displaying a constant strengthening against the most important currencies, the decrease in the Australian wool market and the global uncertainty on the state of Covid-19, are all having a negative effect on the South-African wool market. Demand from China improved lately though, which prevents the market from decreasing further, while Europe will not likely be a significant role player in the near future, due to the renewed Covid-19 lock downs. The receival of wool in the brokers’ stores this week is 3.5% lower compared to the same time of the previous season.

Sustainable certified (RWS), good quality Merino wool, was in high demand on the auction and enjoyed healthy competition amongst the buyers. Producers have to take note of this and also accept that this is a future trend which has come to stay. We invite farmers to contact OVK for assistance in the certification process. The next wool auction is scheduled for 25 November 2020.

OVK offer advances on fibre delivered in PE, as well as production loans. Please contact OVK Fibre’s office in Port Elizabeth or your Technical Field Officer for more information.
